About Our Client

Our client is a fast-growing property development platform with an active pipeline exceeding $500m, executing across industrial, large format retail and town centre assets. Backed by an integrated capital partner, the business has scaled quickly, recently settling its eighth site acquisition, and now has multiple projects in construction or completed, with a strong pipeline behind them. It's a boutique but genuinely high-velocity operator, running a deliberately balanced strategy: industrial projects are typically build-to-sell, while retail assets are held long-term to build a recurring income base and grow assets under management. The business is building toward becoming a fully integrated fund manager and developer, with acquisitions, capital structuring, and delivery all handled in-house.

The Role

This is a true end-to-end Development Manager position, covering the full project lifecycle from acquisition through to delivery. You will work closely with the founders on feasibility, due diligence, and acquisition activity, then carry projects through design, planning, procurement, and construction oversight. As an early hire into a growing platform, there is real scope to shape how the business operates as it builds out its broader team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead development projects end-to-end, from acquisition through to completion
• Undertake feasibility analysis, due diligence, and support acquisition processes
• Coordinate design development, planning approvals, and consultant teams
• Manage delivery, including procurement, construction oversight, and programme management
• Work closely with capital partners and internal stakeholders on funding and structuring
• Contribute to asset strategy across retail holdings with a long-term income focus
• Support broader business growth initiatives as the platform scales

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of development experience with exposure to industrial and/or large format retail
• Demonstrated capability across multiple stages of the development lifecycle
• Strong financial acumen, including feasibility modelling and commercial decision-making
• Experience working directly with consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders
• An entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating in a growing, fast-moving platform
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in property, construction, finance, or a related discipline
