scouted. is excited to be partnering once again with this longterm leader in the Australian property landscape, as they expand their Residential Development team with the addition of an experienced and driven Assistant Development Manager. With a 50+ year track record across multiple states, this group has consistently delivered highquality residential, retail and mixeduse projects. Backed by strong capital, a substantial land pipeline and a reputation for execution, they continue to evolve with a modern, forwardthinking approach and a collaborative, highperforming internal culture. This opportunity sits within an established Development team, and will manage a major Townhome Project within a masterplanned community in Melbourne's southeast growth corridor.

The Role

This position will initially focus on the delivery of a large-scale townhouse project (150–200 dwellings) within a broader estate that's entirety will be developed over the next 5–6 years, providing strong long-term project exposure and role stability. Working within the group's built-form development team, you will support the delivery of staged townhouse construction while working closely with the land subdivision team to coordinate services infrastructure (roads, utilities, NBN, etc.) and align your project with the associated civil delivery programs. 

You will gain exposure across the full development lifecycle and work closely with an experienced Development Director, Senior Development Manager, Development Manager, external project consultants, and engaged builder partners.

• Work hours are 8:30am - 5pm, M - F with a Melbourne CBD Office location
• Travel to site required approximately twice per week (flexing with project stages)
• Salary on offer of circa $120k – $130k + Super (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

With solid experience as an AMD in Residential development already, you will be jumping into a hands-on role across the full project lifecycle (gearing you up for a future transition into DM) with key responsibilities including (but not limited to):

• Prepare and maintain a program from concept to completion of each project stage to establish milestones and critical dates
• Manage key stakeholder relationships, including engagement with the local council, builders, project consultants and investment partners
• Prepare and manage the financial performance of the project by closely monitoring its feasibility and budgets against set objectives and outcomes  
• Manage all aspects of project delivery, including financial performance, reporting, budgeting, risk assessment, monthly review and cash flow management  
• Contributes to the management of the sales and marketing operations for each project

The Right Candidate

• 3 – 4 years’ experience in property development (mid-density residential highly regarded) or a background in architecture or interior design with at least 2 years’ experience in development
• Strong work ethic with a willingness to take ownership of a major portfolio project
• Confident working with an established consultant and contractor network
• Highly adaptable, commercially aware, and comfortable in a hands-on environment
• Exposure to feasibility tools such as Estate Master (advantageous but not essential)
• Driver’s licence, own vehicle and the ability to travel to site regularly
