Senior Development Manager (or DM) - Industrial & Logistics

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Development Manager to join a boutique integrated property group with an investment, development and building arm, overseeing the delivery of both smaller strata warehousing & large-scale industrial estates across Victoria.


In the short term, you will play a pivotal role in leading a 140ha, $400m mixed-use industrial precinct in the North, set to deliver over 700,000sqm of advanced manufacturing, logistics, retail, hospitality, and commercial space, transforming into a future Business Park. With regards to future pipeline, in the mid-long term, a similar but larger-scale future Business Park will come into focus, amongst others, demonstrating this organisation's secure pipeline and growth ambitions.


Key Responsibilities


  • Program Leadership – Drive the end-to-end delivery of industrial projects, ensuring safety, quality, and commercial performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Build trusted relationships with capital partners, financiers, leasing agents, and legal representatives; provide clear reporting on program, budget, and risk.
  • Internal Collaboration – Partner with Finance, Development, Asset Management and Construction teams to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
  • Contractor & Consultant Oversight – Lead procurement, tendering, and management of Head Contractors, ensuring project objectives are met.
  • Governance & Risk – Implement robust governance and risk frameworks, providing proactive solutions to technical challenges and authority approvals.
  • Revenue Generation & Strategic Contribution – Identification of commercially viable development opportunities, directly contributing to maximising project performance on a time and risk-adjusted basis.


About You


  • 7- 10 years of Development Management experience across various roles on the Developer side
  • Extensive experience delivering large-scale, multi-site construction programs, ideally in industrial, logistics, retail or other complex asset classes.
  • Strong expertise in contractor procurement, contract administration, governance, and risk management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Commercially sharp with demonstrated experience in budget management and reporting.
