Assistant Development Manager - Major Project in Melbourne’s West


scouted. are very excited to be exclusively partnering once again with this Private Development Group, on a new addition to their Team in the form of an ambitious, analytical and passionate entry-level Assistant Development Manager. The portfolio surrounds an established community development in Melbourne’s West, now entering its later stages (with a significant pipeline still to come) and so this specific opportunity offers career stability, project scale and the chance to learn from the best in the business. Working closely with senior leadership, you will gain exposure across the full lifecycle of property development.


Recent internal changes have created the need for this role, with several long-term team members stepping up and taking on bigger and more diverse responsibilities. This group value's potential, work ethic and cultural fit just as highly as (if not more than) technical development experience. If you are adaptable and motivated to learn, this is a place where you can progress quickly along the property development career ladder.


Your Responsibilities

  • Supporting project delivery, design reviews and project approvals
  • Coordinating with consultants, councils and external partners
  • Assisting with programs, feasibility analysis and project budgets
  • Monitoring project performance and contributing to monthly reporting
  • Collaborating with internal teams across marketing, sales and customer experience


Your Current Experience

  • A background in construction, development, planning or engineering
  • Tertiary qualifications in a property-related discipline (essential)
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder communication skills
  • A proactive, detail-oriented and collaborative working style
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a long-term career in residential land development
