Tag line: Hands-on HR - driving impact across a growing early learning network
What's the brief?
We’re partnering with a fast-growing education organisation shaping the future of early learning. With ambitious growth plans, this is a hands-on, operational HR role requiring strong stakeholder engagement with operational leaders and Centre Directors across the network. You’ll spend time in the field coaching leaders, driving people initiatives and helping ensure culture and capability show up where they matter most across the organisation
Is This Your Perfect Match?
You’re a seasoned HR Business Partner or HR Manager who knows how to balance strategy with hands-on delivery. Comfortable operating in a multi-site environment, whether it’s employee relations, workforce planning, or building capability at Centre Director and General Manager level. You bring maturity, momentum, and a get-it-done mindset, and you’ll have the backing of a business that knows your value.
Reporting directly to the CPO, you’ll lead the partnering function across operations with a team of two direct reports. From award interpretation to performance management and coaching leaders, this is a broad role with real impact and even bigger scope.
What You’ll Be Driving
- Act as the primary HR partner to the operations team, supporting Centre Directors and operational leaders across a network of 21 centres.
- Lead and coach a small team (HR Business Partner and HR Advisor).
- Manage employee relations matters end-to-end, including investigations, disciplinary processes and performance management.
- Navigate compliance requirements including child safety obligations and CCYP (Commission for Children and Young People) related matters.
- Partner with Centre Directors and operational leaders to strengthen leadership capability, succession planning and talent development initiatives.
- Drive workforce insights and people metrics across the operational workforce.
- Support the continued implementation and embedding of the Dayforce HRIS system across the organisation.
- Contribute to key HR cycles including engagement surveys, remuneration reviews and performance processes.
- Support recruitment for new centre openings.
- Build strong, credible relationships with operational leaders and Centre Directors across the network, partnering closely to translate people strategy into practical, on-the-ground delivery.
- Help shape the future of P&C by bringing fresh ideas, sharp judgement, and momentum.
What You Bring

- Experience in compliance-heavy sectors such as education, childcare, healthcare, aged care or similar environments is advantageous.
- Strong decision-making, able to move at pace, with a people-first approach.
