Salary: $145,600 (inclusive of super)

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Clayton, Victoria (On-site for first 3 months, 1 day WFH after 3 months)

Who are we?

This isn’t just another HR function - and this isn’t just another role. Our client is a well-established Australian organisation with over 100 years of history backing industry and customers. But what’s most exciting is where they’re going next.

Their People & Culture function is evolving - moving beyond traditional HR into a true business partnering model that drives performance, builds leadership capability, and shapes culture in a real, practical way. They’re customer-obsessed, aligned and accountable, and genuinely care about their people.

Who are you?

You’re not just “in HR” - you’re someone leaders trust and rely on. You might be a strong HR Advisor ready to step up, or a Business Partner looking for more ownership and impact. Either way, you’re ready for a role where you can influence, challenge, and contribute in a meaningful way.

You’re:

  • Commercially aware and people-focused
  • Confident having real conversations with leaders
  • Proactive, practical, and solutions-driven
  • Comfortable balancing competing priorities
  • Curious about data and how it informs decisions.

Day to day

This is a true Business Partner role - hands-on, visible, and impactful.

You’ll work closely with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Rental, Used Equipment, IT and Finance, helping them lift capability, improve performance, and build strong, engaged teams.

You’ll:

  • Coach leaders and build their capability in real time
  • Partner across the full employee lifecycle in a diverse workforce
  • Manage employee relations matters with confidence and clarity
  • Drive engagement initiatives (recognition, surveys, D&I) that actually land
  • Contribute to key projects across wellbeing, reward and culture
  • Use data (Dayforce + Excel) to identify trends and influence decisions
  • Continuously improve how HR shows up across the business

It’s a mix of strategy, delivery, and problem-solving - where you’ll see the impact of your work quickly.

What’s in your toolkit?

  • Solid HR / P&C generalist experience (blue + white collar exposure ideal)
  • Ready to step into BP or already operating at that level
  • Strong employee relations capability (end-to-end experience preferred)
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
  • Experience supporting defined business units or client groups
  • Data literacy - you can interpret insights and turn them into action
  • Comfortable working with HR systems (Dayforce exposure a bonus)
  • A proactive, “roll your sleeves up” mindset
