Be the HR voice of the business


  • 12-month FTC
  • $140,000 + super
  • Melbourne / on-site
  • Interstate and overseas travel required


This one is for the HR operator who likes being close to the business and in the rhythm of a busy operational environment, supporting leaders, lifting consistency and keeping things moving.


We’re partnering with a well-established manufacturing business to appoint an HR Manager into a 12-month fixed term contract, with potential to extend. The role is on-site 5 days in the outer East.


What’s the brief?


You’ll lead HR across multiple business units across Australia and New Zealand, bringing structure, clarity and calm to a hands-on environment.


The work is broad, practical and people-close. Think:


  • Mentoring and guiding your direct report
  • Contributing to wellbeing, culture and broader management initiatives
  • Partnering with managers on ER, performance, conflict resolution and legislative changes
  • Keeping policies, SOPs and documentation consistent, current and compliant
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and development
  • Working closely with safety leaders around OHS, WorkCover and risk
  • Bringing consistency across multiple sites, while understanding where local nuance is needed

You’ll suit this role if you’re a steady, commercially minded HR Manager who can balance care with operational reality. You’re not afraid to be hands-on, but you also know how to step back, see the bigger picture and help the business make better people decisions.


You’ll bring:


  • 5+ years’ HR management experience
  • Strong knowledge of Australian workplace law, OHS and WorkCover
  • Confidence working with leaders in operational, manufacturing or similarly complex environments
  • A practical, organised and methodical approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly
  • Comfort working with competing priorities and the occasional grey area
  • Manufacturing or pharmaceutical
  • experience would be highly regarded
