Title: Talent Acquisition Partner

Salary: Depending on experience

Type: 6 months FTC

Location: Chadstone | Hybrid - 12pm–8pm schedule.

👋Who are we?

We're partnering with one of Australia's most recognised and respected retail organisations, employing thousands of team members across stores, support offices, and distribution centres nationwide.

Known for its strong culture, people-first mindset, and commitment to developing great leaders, this organisation has built a reputation as an employer of choice and continues to invest heavily in talent, capability, and growth.

As hiring demand continues to increase across multiple business functions, they're looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner to join the team and help shape hiring decisions across the business.

😊Who are you?

You're not the recruiter who gets excited by spending eight hours a day sourcing on LinkedIn.

What you love is partnering with leaders, influencing decisions, interviewing candidates, and helping businesses make great hiring choices.

You know how to build credibility quickly, challenge stakeholders when needed, and balance candidate experience with commercial outcomes.

Most importantly, you're a true Talent Acquisition partner, not just a recruitment coordinator.

You'll likely bring:

  • Internal or agency recruitment experience
  • Strong stakeholder management capability
  • Experience conducting behavioural and competency-based interviews
  • Confidence influencing hiring decisions
  • Strong assessment and talent evaluation skills
  • A consultative and commercially minded approach
  • The ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Experience recruiting technology roles will be highly regarded, but isn't essential.

🤸Day to day

This role is all about partnership and talent assessment.

You'll:

  • Partner with hiring managers across multiple functions
  • Lead interviews and assess capability and cultural fit
  • Influence hiring decisions and provide market insights
  • Manage recruitment processes end-to-end
  • Support recruitment activity across both Australian and offshore teams
  • Partner closely with stakeholders in India to ensure consistency in hiring quality and assessment standards
  • Deliver exceptional candidate and stakeholder experiences
  • Contribute to workforce planning and talent discussions

A significant portion of the role will involve supporting recruitment for offshore teams. To accommodate this, the role operates on a 12pm–8pm schedule, allowing meaningful overlap with international stakeholders while maintaining strong connections with local teams (please note Fridays have flexibility)

✨What's in it for you?

  • Minimal sourcing and maximum stakeholder engagement
  • Rare exposure to international recruitment and offshore stakeholder management
  • Opportunity to partner with leaders across both Australian and global teams
  • Hybrid working flexibility
  • Flexible afternoon-to-evening schedule (12pm–8pm)
  • Join a highly regarded Talent Acquisition function
  • A role where TA is viewed as a strategic business partner rather than an order-taker
  • Genuine influence over hiring decisions and talent outcomes

🚀The Bottom Line

If your favourite part of recruitment is building relationships, interviewing great talent, and influencing hiring decisions, this is an opportunity to do more of what you love and less of what you don't.

With exposure to both Australian and offshore hiring, a genuine business partnering focus, and a flexible 12pm–8pm schedule, you'll play a key role in shaping talent decisions across multiple portfolios while gaining global stakeholder experience that's rarely available in traditional Talent Acquisition roles.
