What’s the Brief?
We’re partnering with a well-established organisation in the industrial and heavy equipment sector to find a People Systems & Reporting Specialist.
Dayforce has been live for around 18 months. The foundations are in place, and now it’s time to get more out of it. You’ll take ownership of configuration, troubleshooting, optimisation and continuous improvement, and become the go-to systems expert across the business. Part of the job is making Dayforce easier for people to use and easier to trust.
There’s a solid pipeline of work ahead: a new LMS to integrate with Dayforce, a new safety system being selected, and room to explore AI and automation across People & Culture. You’ll also pick up the smaller improvements that make a big difference, like digitising manual processes and tidying up workflows.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll join two Payroll Officers and work closely with a People & Culture function of around 30.
Is This Your Perfect Match?
You’re the person people come to when a system isn’t behaving. You know HRIS platforms beyond the surface, you’re comfortable getting into configuration, and when the obvious answer doesn’t work, you keep digging until you understand why and what else is possible.
Dayforce experience is a plus, not a must. If you’ve built your depth on another HRIS and you’re keen to learn a new one, we’d like to hear from you.
You’ll balance bigger optimisation projects with the reality of systems work: reactive tickets, ad hoc requests and stakeholders who need an answer now. You’ll work with everyone from warehouse and operational teams to senior leaders, so you’ll know how to explain a technical issue without making it sound technical. And you’re autonomous: you look past the immediate request, spot the bigger issue and improve the way things work.
Your Role in Action
Your role will include:
• Owning Dayforce as the key systems expert, configuring, maintaining and optimising modules and workflows
• Troubleshooting system issues and managing reactive tickets and ad hoc requests
• Finding and delivering efficiency and automation wins, including digitising manual forms and processes
• Supporting the integration of a new LMS and the selection of a new safety system
• Exploring practical uses of AI across People systems and processes
• Managing upgrades, enhancements and configuration changes, and staying across the Dayforce roadmap
• Maintaining data integrity and resolving system and payroll-related data issues
• Building reporting and analytics that deliver meaningful People insights, and training users across the business
What You Bring
• Hands-on experience configuring and supporting an enterprise HRIS (such as Dayforce, Workday, SuccessFactors or UKG)
• A solid understanding of HRIS workflows, integrations and system functionality
• The ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently and land on practical solutions
• A track record of identifying and implementing system efficiencies and automation
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine focus on data accuracy and integrity
• Communication that works across technical and non-technical audiences
• A curious, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to work autonomously
• Experience supporting HRIS integrations, upgrades or wider People technology projects
• Reporting and People analytics capability
Desirable: Dayforce experience. LMS, safety system or AI integration experience. Exposure to payroll or time and attendance data.
Why This Role?
• Own a relatively new HRIS rather than simply administering it
• A significant systems roadmap, with LMS, safety system and AI work ahead
• Plenty of scope to improve and automate existing People processes
• Exposure across Payroll, HR, L&D and Safety within a sizeable People & Culture function
• Broad stakeholder exposure, from operational teams to senior leadership
• Novated leasing and health insurance discounts
• Option to move to 1 day WFH once you’re established and operating autonomously
