Shape the Future

  • Permanent Full-time
  • Any Australian capital city / Hybrid
  • Package commensurate with experience

Most HCM roles ask you to maintain a system. This one gives you the mandate to reshape how an entire People & Culture function works - and turn Dayforce and its connected systems into a genuine enterprise capability.

The Opportunity

Our client is a national, purpose led health and employment services group, operating a portfolio of specialist brands that help people stay healthy, recover from injury and get back to meaningful work. It's a large, multi-site, people-intensive business, and its People & Culture function has strong operational foundations to build from.

With Dayforce to be its core HCM platform, the new Chief People Officer has created this role to take P&C to its next stage: more connected, more insight-led and easier for people to navigate. You’ll bring together process, data and technology to remove friction, lift performance and create a culture of continuous improvement - making each change a foundation for the next and creating a better experience for employees, leaders and P&C teams.

This is not a Dayforce administration role - and it is not transformation at arm’s length. It is a visible enterprise leadership role for someone who can see the whole system, win alignment across functions and turn ambitious ideas into practical improvements that people can feel.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Set the direction - Build a clear, compelling roadmap for the process, service and technology improvements that will make the greatest difference.
  • Make work simpler - and keep improving it - Redesign end-to-end P&C processes, using feedback, insight and continuous improvement to remove friction, duplication and manual effort while lifting consistency and experience.
  • Unlock the platform - Lead the optimisation of Dayforce and the broader P&C systems portfolio, translating workforce needs into smart, sustainable solutions.
  • Build trust and discipline - Put in place the governance, controls and service standards that allow systems, data, vendors and investment decisions to be managed with confidence.
  • Bring people with you - Lead the systems administration team and build commitment across P&C, Payroll, IT, Finance, Risk and the P&C cohort across the operating divisions, so improvements stick and benefits are realised.

About You

You are a senior enterprise leader who combines strategic range with genuine delivery depth. You can move confidently from an executive conversation to the detail of a process, platform or service issue - and keep people focused on the outcome rather than the technology.

  • You have led enterprise systems optimisation, service transformation or complex improvement programs in a large, multi-site organisation.
  • You understand HCM platforms and end-to-end people processes, and know how to connect systems, data and service design to a better employee and leader experience.
  • You bring practical continuous improvement expertise - whether through Lean, Six Sigma, systems thinking or a comparable approach - and a track record of turning analysis into sustained change.
  • You are commercially astute, comfortable with governance and risk, and credible with executives, specialists and operational teams alike.
  • Dayforce and healthcare experience would be valuable, but curiosity, enterprise judgement and the ability to make complex things work simply will matter most, particularly when combined with best practice experience from a variety of businesses and operating models.

The combination matters: enough systems depth to ask the right questions, enough enterprise perspective to see what matters, and enough leadership presence to make change happen.

Why Join?

This is a rare chance to shape a capability, not inherit a fixed brief. You’ll have a clear mandate from the Chief People Officer, a core platform with significant potential, a systems administration team to lead and the opportunity to influence how P&C operates across a large, complex workforce. Based in Melbourne or another Australian capital city with hybrid flexibility, your work will help an organisation dedicated to improving people’s health and employment outcomes work better for its own people.

Applications demonstrating this combination of experience will be prioritised given the expected level of interest and we will endeavour to respond to all applicants as quickly as possible.
