They are looking to welcome an experienced Payroll Officer into their People & Culture team. You’ll join a small, dedicated payroll function supporting a large, diverse workforce and ensuring payroll is delivered accurately and on time, every time.
This is a permanent part-time role (4 days per week) based in Clayton, offering flexibility around start and finish times and the opportunity for hybrid working after the initial onboarding period.

🤸 Day to day
No two days will look exactly the same, but your responsibilities will include:
- Processing end-to-end fortnightly payroll for approximately 500+ employees
- Managing payroll adjustments, new starters and termination payments
- Following up timesheet approvals and masterfile data changes
- Providing payroll support and responding to employee queries
- Supporting workers compensation payments and reimbursements
- Maintaining payroll data accuracy and compliance
- Assisting with payroll reporting and data checks
- Supporting process improvements and payroll documentation
- Providing system training to employees where required
You’ll work closely with the Payroll Manager and broader People & Culture team to ensure payroll runs smoothly and efficiently.

- End-to-end payroll experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work to deadlines and payroll cycles
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Experience working in award-based payroll environments
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with Dayforce or similar systems
- Experience in multi-award environments
- Exposure to industrial or operational workforces
- Continuous improvement mindset
